Moments – EJAlbum at Creative Mornings Tirana

Creative Mornings Tirana had EJAlbum's administrator as this month's guest speaker, who spoke before the public on the theme "Moment." At this link you'll find the full video of the talk, while Elton explains it in a few words like this: – "In all these years, life's circumstances have brought me close to photography in every aspect of it. In this way, I have come to hold the conviction that photographs, in their apparent simplicity, are born from a creative act of the moment, one that is generated and consumed instantly.

Photography, if only for its fleeting nature, captures a moment from the flow of time and hands it over to eternity — better, then, than any other form of visual art, it manages to grasp the loss of the sense of time, a distinguishing mark of our "liquid modernity."

Stephen Hawking says that humanity is going through the most dangerous moment since its existence began. In Albania, danger makes rather good material for jokes. Hawking also adds that never, as much as at this moment, has humanity needed people to work together more. It is clear that the coordinates of the moment make it difficult for this to happen at a global level, making it, on the contrary, essential in our everyday microcosm.

Never forgetting that it is precisely when we unexpectedly surrender to ourselves that we manage to live the most important and unforgettable moments of our lives!"
